Under the bylaws of the church, each year, members are asked to recommit their membership to the church and new people may join the church.  All members then are honored and are eligible to vote at the annual meeting in April.

 

Sunday, December 18, 10:30 a.m.—Worship service. Speaker and Musician: Tom Chambers. Lesson: Cowboy Consciousness”. Tom Chambers is a seasoned singer, songwriter and entertainer from Denver, Colorado, wi is active in the Unity Church of Evergreen. He has created this program to blend the principles of New Thought religion with the songs, stories, and humor that reflect the ranch culture of the American West.

The open Prayer Group will meet each week, 9:45-10:15 a.m., to pray over requests submitted to our Prayer Box.

Thursday, Dec. 8, 6:30 p.m., at Unity West—Service of Remembrance with Rev. Patty Pipia.  This event will be held at Unity West (southest corner of Hwy. 100/Mayfair Road and Hampton Avenue)

Sunday, Dec. 11, 12:30-2 p.m. (Fireplace Room)—”Holiday for Love, Abundance, and Angels Workshop,” presented by Julie T. Piek-Reiki Master/Teacher, Reconnection Practitioner® at

Rei Essence LLC. The energy of the Holidays always carries a strong positive vibration of love, hope and charity. It's a time for acknowledging the blessings of the past year while looking forward to the blessings of the upcoming year.  Make a commitment this Holiday season to, “Be the changes that you want to see in the world,” —Ghandi.  Use the energy of the season to be loving, hopeful, and charitable with yourself first; thereby, allowing the river of your well-being to flow out into your home, the community and the world.  Come celebrate “Holiday for Love, Abundance and Angels” with us. There will be Holiday stories to share, experience several modalities of Angel meditations, (includes an Angel coloring Mandala) and Holiday tasty treats.  A Love offering would be greatly appreciated.

 

Dec. 16 and 17, 7:30 p.m. each night—Women’s Voices Milwaukee Christmas Concert.  Cost is $12 in advance and $15 at the door.

Sunday, Dec. 18—Christmas caroling “jam”.  Bring your friends, voices, instruments, favorite songs and join in the fun.  Bring your favorite Christmas cookies to share if you would can.

Guests always are welcome for worship services and other events.

Community-Based Events Held at UCIM

 

Several 12-step meetings are held at our church.  Please contact your Fellowship Intergroup or local office for exact times.

 

Book Club (dates vary each month)—Next meeting, Dec. 4, to discuss “The Help.”

 

Writer’s Group (second Thursday of each month, 12:30-2 p.m.)—Upcoming session is Dec. 1. (The group will break during winter.)  Bring something you have written (any genre or come to listen to others who have written pieces and give feedback.

 

Women Singing in Sacred Circle (every other Tuesday, 7 p.m.)—Upcoming session is Dec. 13.  No circle will be held Dec. 27 due to the holidays.
